Shanghai Circus World

If you want to see a glamorous show and are into artistry, you should not miss the Shanghai Circus World. Take subway line 1 to Shanghai Circus World station, exit 3, from there you can't miss the circus building. The circus has been around since 2005, the shows vary, so it's worth coming back conscientiously. Admission isn't cheap by Chinese standards, but shows like Cirque du Soleil or formats you get in Las Vegas are at least three times more expensive. Only the entrance fee is lower than in Las Vegas, otherwise the show is perfect. You experience a multimedia spectacle of effects, music, light and stage designs. The focus is on acrobatics and the artists have skills that are above average, with China's millennia-old tradition in the area of body control, as has also been known in Germany since André Heller's Chinese show "Begnadete Körper" from the 80s. The Shanghai show is entirely Chinese in music as well as set design and costumes, but that's what you'd expect. There is no breather, one climax follows the next and it remains dynamic and entertaining for two hours.
